Everyone's got their fair share of bad habits that we all know aren't good for us, yet somehow we still cannot bring ourselves to break them spending too much time using gadgets is one example rather than doing that isn't it better to spend your time enjoying nature and letting your eyes take a break. 1. Having Too Much Screen Time 

There's no way to escape technology in this digital era it's  normal nowadays to have a phone or some other gadget with you at all times. However it becomes a problem when you extensively use technology to spend your free time be it laptops mobile phones television or video games we tend to use a huge chunk of our time on screens this  has to stop or else. It can lead to serious health consequences from obesity to stress and anxiety there are a lot of  things that could go wrong with this seemingly trivial habit of ours and you know what's the best alternative for this nature. Do this instead go outside and bask in the beauty of nature go outside and enjoy nature you can have your phone with you but only use it when  it's extremely necessary this means no checking of twitter, instagram, emails or anything that entails being on screen go for a stroll with your dog or a friend at the park riverside or any good outdoor area go hiking. If you haven't done it in a while or you can simply invite your friends and family over for a picnic at your yard have fun and laugh while you can make real memories with your loved ones even just having some alone time reading a book in front while you breathe fresh air is far and way  healthier than using a gadget one guaranteed unhealthy habit that could send you to the emergency room sooner or later is eating too much fast food not surprising.

2. Excessive Snacking On Fast Food

Double cheeseburgers with large fries and an oversized glass of soda or milkshake sounds like a delicious plan, it sure is but a steady diet of those often results in a bigger waistline and other health-related issues like diabetes and  heart disease. Fast foods are laden with bad cholesterol and fats that contribute to the hardening of the arteries and if that isn't enough they can set off and increase inflammation which plays a huge role in the buildup of fatty plaque in your artery walls. The same can be said  about junk food it's easy to munch on this unhealthy stuff because they're super convenient and usually inexpensive. However if you want to live healthily from now on then it's high time you do something to break this habit. Do this instead eat healthier foods say homemade  meals needless to say homemade meals are much healthier options than fast foods instead of your usual double patty burger from your favorite restaurant make your own burgers or maybe veggie pizza prepare yourself a healthy meal using last night's leftovers and add some fruits and veggies making little swaps also makes a great difference for instance replace soda and milkshakes with water or tea burgers with grilled chicken and fries with salad, also when shopping find healthier prepared meals  at a local grocery store true enough healthy eating takes more time and  thought and sometimes more money but  it's absolutely worth it.

3. Living a Too Sedentary Life 

Lack of  exercise is a surefire way of ruining your health. Especially, if your job requires you to be sitting most hours of the day one common sedentary habit is spending too much time on the couch watching television studies found that watching more than two hours of TV a day or more. All the while consuming more sugary beverages and high fat and high calorie foods than those who watch less or even just doing nothing at home is bad for your health, do this instead choose cycling over driving. If you can't find time to exercise or aren't a sporty type consider getting into the habit of riding a bike instead of driving your car all the time. Driving would eventually get you stuck in traffic, which means you're just indoors again and possibly even agitated and stressed due to traffic but if you switch to cycling then you'd be more physically active which will instantly energize you and boost your mental energy in addition to reduce the temptation of lazing  around at home go outside more often see your friends, do interesting activities and just engage in things that would  involve moving your body if you still  want to watch tv go ahead but try exercising while you're at it do sit-ups and push-ups or maybe place your treadmill in the room.

4. Smoking Cigarettes 

As far as health is concerned smoking is among the most  harmful habits of humans cigarette. Smoking is dangerous for your health period sadly countless people are  addicted to this. It's the hardest one to quit or even just change as you already know nicotine and tar are the problems. Nicotine specifically penetrates easily into our bodies and can cause lung cancer among many things  in addition to those serious diseases. Smoking also increases the risk of developing bladder mouth and throat cancer, if you continue this it would tremendously raise your chances of high blood pressure heart attacks and strokes  plus it can also trigger or aggravate bronchitis and asthma attacks do this instead switch to e-cigarettes in the  meantime quitting is not an option for some. Moreover it can be especially hard to do so when you're constantly around people who smoke in this case you can consider e-cigarettes there are far better options for those who do not or cannot give up on smoking they don't have toxic chemicals that can cause lung cancer you still get a certain amount of nicotine but without other toxic chemicals on the other hand you should seriously consider quitting for good.

5. Skipping Breakfast

It's your first meal of the day and yet you're going on your way without it skipping breakfast can have serious consequences on your weights energy levels and blood  sugar when you munch on something say a piece of toast or some bran flakes, it prompts your metabolism gears to get things started but if there is no fuel or breakfast in your body your metabolism runs low which can result in  weight gain and feeling sluggish. This will also produce a starve now indulge later eating pattern it's why breakfast  skippers often overeat later in the day, do this instead have on the go foods eating a healthy breakfast means more stable blood sugar thus fewer food cravings and hunger pangs later in the day.
